Grants for theatre projects are available through the DDCF-funded programs described below, as well as through DDCF-funded Organizational Transformation initiatives.

Funding Opportunities

DDCF is committed to supporting the creation and distribution of theatre and currently focuses its funding through programs administered by the Creative Capital Foundation, National Performance Network and Theatre Communications Group.

Creative Capital Foundation

Individual theatre artists and artist collectives can apply for two types of grants administered by the Creative Capital Foundation:

National Performance Network

Commissioning, residency, travel and presentation support is available for theatre artists commissioned or presented by any of the National Performance Network's 55 partner organizations. For details, visit www.npnweb.org.

Theatre Communications Group

Funded jointly by the DDCF and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, TCG's New Generations Program supports two main types of projects:
