McKenzie Bennett

Program Associate for Child Well-being and the African Health Initiative

McKenzie Bennett is the program associate for child well-being and the African Health Initiative at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Prior to joining the foundation in 2014, Bennett worked as a development and alumni relations intern at Ruffing Montessori School in Cleveland, OH. 

Bennett graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and French studies in 2013. There, Bennett was a member of the International Development Forum, uAcademy for Conscious Social Change, Management and Leadership Development Program and Diversity Peer Leadership Program. Also during her tenure at Dartmouth, Bennett worked as a development intern at International Crisis Group. Additionally, she was a general operations intern at ShoreBank Cleveland--a community development bank committed to building vibrant urban neighborhoods and promoting economic, social and environmental sustainability--serving as an analyst and liaison for community development projects in five target neighborhoods of inner-city Cleveland.
