“From Talk to Action? Assessing Philanthropy’s Racial Justice Response,” Inside Philanthropy

In an Inside Philanthropy article about the evolution in philanthropy’s response to racial justice issues over the past year, Maurine Knighton, program director for the arts at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, shared insights on the sector’s uneven reckoning with racial injustice over the past several decades and the right steps forward.  

Knighton said, “Some of our colleagues have been committed to racial justice work for a long time; now that work is gaining traction and becoming more a part of the mainstream… ”
